Using shuffle to make products

Hi Guys!

We are back with the latest "Everything I have done to try and start a fashion business from scratch." I am currently just trying out a bunch of methods to create products to see what works best for me. I realize what works now may change in the future, I would love to do more once I have got more capital, but it seems the best way I can build an inventory without a huge startup cost is with Print on Demand. So I have researched a ton of POD services, and that information will come in a later article because it is OVERWHELMING AMOUNTS OF INFORMATION.

So I got to do some fun stuff to break it up and start making designs to print on products. Something I have seen popping around is shuffle. It is an app designed by the same people as Pinterest where one can compile different images, sampled or provided, to create a "Moodboard," or, just a picture that would look adorable on a shirt.

So here's what I did

  1. Download the app - Duh. self explanatory

2.) Open the app

this is what you see when you first open it and go to your news feed where it shows you shuffles based on what you put you liked upon first sign up. It's a great way to get Inso for sure. There are also ways to connect it to your Pinterest account. As you can see, I'm a book girlie. Click the big purple plus button to start a new picture.

3.) Start adding clips

so it opens up a blank card. You can search for pictures by clicking the earch icon in the bottom left. At first it will pop things up based on what you like, but you can also search for more and it will give you categories related to your search. You can also use your own original photos. It will let you edit them to remove the background and rotate them as you please. It offers easy tools to automatically remove the background if you just tell it in general what you want, using the lasso tool. You can do the same to the sampled images.

4.) Edit to your heart's content

Using the tools, you can layer the images, edit the transparency, add shadows, etc until you have your final products

5.) export

choose what you would like to do. Post the board on shuffles, put it on Pinterest, move it to social media, or simply save the image to upload to the POD service of your choosing. Personally I would recommend at least putting it on Pinterest and linking your Pinterest back to your site, but you do you!

Anyways, this whole process took me about 20 minutes and I got a collage with EVERYTHING I LOVE. I will be ordering a shirt myself. Or a poster, once again, whatever your heart desires.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tag me in your creations so I can share them and hype you up. This is a team effort.

Also y'all can hype me up too :P
